MATCH RULES
- Each team can sign up to 16 players.
- Each team to supply a match ball(s)
- There will be 16 (maximum) named players on team lines.
- Trialists are allowed a maximum of 2 games for a team and must sign before the 3 third game.
- Trialists are only allowed to play a maximum of 3 games (different teams) before signing for a team.
- Official team lines MUST be used, failure to do so will result in a £X fine for each offense.
- The League games will last 25 minutes each way
- A game will only proceed if a team has a minimum of 5 players.
- If a team cannot raise 5 players the opposition will be awarded the match 3-0.
- A team failing to get enough players will pay the full referees fee of £XX.
- Only signed players can play in cup competitions.
- Official strips or bibs must be worn. No mix and match colours allowed.
- Each team to pay the referee £x before the match kicks off. This is to be handed over with team sheets.
- Teams will be allowed a 5-minute grace to start a game. Teams will be required to start a game with less than seven players after this time. Any team unable to field a team within this time will be fined £X.
- The goalkeeper cannot pick up back passes.
- Substitutes and officials must stand at halfway line.
- Subs will go on and off as each team wished from the halfway line.
Oncoming players must wait until the off going player is 5 yards
from the touchline before entering the field of play. Failure to adhere
to this will result in a free kick where the offense took place.
In more serious circumstances the ongoing player will be booked at the referee's
discretion.
- There will be kick ins as opposed to throw ins. A strict 5 yard exclusion zone will be enforced.
- If a player is guilt of dissent after a free kick has been awarded against his team the referee will move the ball 7 yards forward and book or send the offending player off at his discretion.
- Opposition players to stand 7 yards away from free kicks.
- Substitions and officials on the sidelines are reminded that they can be booked for dissent.
- There are no sliding tackles allowed.
- 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw.
- Each HOME team MUST inform the Chairman William Cannop the score and scorers FOR BOTH SIDES by 10pm on match evening. Failure to do so will result in a £X fine and those goals scored by the home team will NOT be counted in the 7s scorer database. This means they won't count towards the highest scorer trophy either.
- Goal difference will not be taken into account in the final league placings. In the event the top teams having equal points a play off will take place organized by the committee.
- There will be a system of fines for teams with a bad disciplinary record. Teams will have 14 days to pay the fine or risk being expelled from the league.
- All winter league players are excluded from this league. A former winter league player who wishes to play for a team must wait 14 days from the date on his release form before being eligible to play. A copy of the release form must be sent to a committee member before the 14 days are up.
